Association for Research and Social Innovation “Analyze, Design, Transformation” (ADT) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2014 with a commitment to fostering open, knowledge-based communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that support inclusive and sustainable development while protecting the public interest and common goods. ADT works at the intersection of research, innovation, and civic engagement, developing initiatives that strengthen collaboration between academia, civil society, public institutions, and local communities.
Education is central to building resilient and inclusive societies. ADT develops innovative educational initiatives that connect research, social innovation, and community engagement. Through interdisciplinary learning, participatory programmes, and collaboration with schools, universities, and civil society, we promote critical thinking, digital literacy, and civic responsibility. Our work aims to expand access to knowledge and empower young people and communities to actively participate in shaping sustainable, democratic, and socially just futures.
ADT designs and implements initiatives that address complex social, environmental, and economic challenges through research, community engagement, and policy innovation. Our projects bring together researchers, institutions, civil society organizations, and local communities to co-create solutions grounded in evidence and lived experience. Main focus areas
ADT works across a broad range of interconnected themes that shape contemporary societies. These include green transformation, digital transformation, socio-economic development, and social justice. Our thematic areas explore issues such as energy transition, environmental protection, innovation ecosystems, labour markets, public health, and democratic governance. By combining research and community engagement, ADT contributes to developing solutions that promote sustainable development, social equality, and responsible governance.
ADT applies interdisciplinary and participatory approaches to address complex societal challenges. Our work integrates design thinking, mixed-method research, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. A distinctive element of our methodology is the use of feminist participatory action research, ensuring that the voices of communities most affected by social problems shape the design of solutions. By combining scientific knowledge with community experience, we co-create inclusive and context-sensitive initiatives with lasting impact.
Collaboration is at the core of ADT’s work. We build partnerships with universities, civil society organizations, public institutions, foundations, and community groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina and internationally.
